A welcoming space for photographers of all levels. Whether you just picked up a camera or have been shooting for years, FotoKlub is a place to grow, share, and connect.
FotoKlub meets every second Monday of the month at 6:00 PM at 33 Hawley Street in Northampton.
Each session is a mix of creative conversation and hands-on learning: we explore photography and editing techniques, share and discuss our work, and take on small challenges designed to sharpen our eye and push our perspective.
Between meetups, we keep the creativity going with FotoFokus — a monthly photo challenge with an optional prompt to spark ideas and encourage regular practice. During our sessions, we revisit the theme together and discover how differently each of us saw the same idea.
Join us at the next meeting. We look forward to meeting you.

Frequently Asked Questions
We meet on the second Monday of every month, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at NOM, located at 33 Hawley Street in Northampton, MA.
Absolutely! FotoKlub welcomes photographers of every level — from complete beginners to seasoned shooters. The sessions are designed to be accessible and inspiring for everyone.
Come as you are — no preparation needed. Our meetings are relaxed and informal. You’ll meet the group, get a feel for how things run, and leave with a sense of what FotoKlub is all about. A great first step is simply showing up.
A dedicated camera is helpful but not required. A smartphone with a decent camera works just fine, especially when you’re starting out. NOM does have a small selection of cameras available to borrow if needed.
Each meetup is a mix of looking at each other’s work, discussing photography and editing techniques, and tackling creative challenges together. No two sessions are exactly the same.
FotoFokus is our monthly photo challenge — an optional creative prompt to keep you shooting between meetups. At the next session, we revisit the theme together and discover how each person interpreted it. Completely optional, but a great way to stay inspired between meetings.
Nope — just show up. Sharing your work is always encouraged but never required.
The FotoKlub is completely free — the only requirement is becoming a member of Northampton Open Media. Sign up at northamptonopenmedia.org/about/membership and you’re in!
