January: Minimalism / Connection

January’s FotoFokus explored two themes that both, in their own way, ask you to slow down and pay attention. Minimalism is the art of reduction — fewer colors, less light, simpler shapes — and there’s something quietly surprising about how much emotion that restraint can hold. Connection carries a compelling double meaning: it can live in the image itself, in the relationships and moments a photograph captures, but it also describes something more personal — the pull we feel toward certain images, and why some pictures simply stay with us.
